We archive lots of datasets monthly.  As we've moved from one SAS version 
to another we've converted the most used datasets because they're taken 
out of storage occasionally for use.  For the future we are considering 
storing all  datasets in transport form so that future users can access 
them regardless of which version the Bureau is using or which platform 
we're on.
 
Does this seem like a wise idea?  How are you storing SAS data files?
